Major upgrades Backyard refresh

Pool RenovationAdelaide

Major upgrades that transform the whole pool area.

Renovating before a sale? Finally redoing the backyard? We coordinate resurfacing, coping, tiling, equipment upgrades and surrounds into one project — and we stay on schedule regardless of weather.

Good reasons to renovate

  • Selling your home in 3–12 months
  • The pool looks dated compared to the house
  • The surface and coping both need attention
  • Running costs are too high on old equipment
  • You're redoing the backyard and the pool is stuck in 1995
  • The family is finally using it again — time to modernise
What we can change

Pick the upgrades that matter

Every renovation is different. Tell us your priorities and your budget — we'll build a scope that fits.

New surface and colour

Choose a new pebblecrete, gelcoat, quartz or plaster finish in a modern colour — dramatic visual impact and a new 15+ year lifespan.

Coping replacement

Swap tired concrete coping for travertine, bluestone, natural stone or modern concrete. Often the biggest visual upgrade for the money.

New waterline tiles

Glass mosaic, porcelain or natural stone waterline tiles in a style that suits your home. Instant modernisation.

Equipment upgrade

Energy-efficient pump, new filter, modern salt chlorinator, heat pump and colour-changing LED lighting — lower running costs and a better experience.

Surrounds refresh

Pressure wash, pointing repair, targeted paver replacement and a cleaned-up look for the whole pool area.

Shape and depth changes

For concrete pools: reshape, extend, shallow or deepen. Structural work that dramatically changes how the pool feels.

Renovating to sell

A failing pool is a buyer's bargaining chip

If your pool has a rough pebblecrete surface, flaking coping and a pump straight out of 1998, buyers will either discount their offer or walk away. Real estate agents consistently tell us the same thing: a tired pool drops perceived value by far more than the cost of fixing it.

A proper renovation — new surface, new coping, cleaned surrounds, modern equipment — presents the pool as a feature, not a liability. Most of our pre-sale customers say they recovered the cost in the final sale price, and many say they cleared more than they spent.

Because we own weather-protection structures, we can hit a 6-week deadline in any season. Selling in winter? No problem — we'll still have the pool done on time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Restoration revives a tired pool to its original design — same shape, same layout. Renovation makes bigger changes: new coping and tiling, surrounds redesign, updated equipment, sometimes new lighting and heating. Renovation is about bringing the whole pool area up to modern standards, not just fixing what's broken.
Most major pool renovations in Adelaide run between $25,000 and $60,000+ depending on scope. Just resurfacing plus coping is usually $20,000–$30,000. Adding new tiling, lighting, equipment upgrades and surrounds work pushes it higher. We provide a detailed line-item quote so you can pick what to include and what to defer.
We focus on the pool, coping, surrounds and equipment — the hard edges. If you're doing broader landscaping at the same time we can coordinate access, timing and dust control with your landscaper. Many of our best renovation projects are part of a bigger outdoor makeover.
For concrete pools, yes — we can extend, shallow, deepen or reshape. It's structural work and depends on the existing shell and site, so we'll need an assessment to confirm what's possible. For fibreglass pools, the shape is fixed but we can do everything else.
A functional, modern-looking pool can be a strong selling point in Adelaide — a tired, failing pool is often a buyer's bargaining chip. Real estate agents consistently tell us a renovated pool pays back most of its cost at sale. We see lots of renovation customers who are 3–12 months out from going to market.
Most renovations take 3–6 weeks depending on scope. Our weather structures mean we hit the timeline regardless of season — a key advantage if you're preparing for a sale or a summer deadline.
