Concrete Pool ResurfacingAdelaide
Pebblecrete, quartz, plaster and aggregate finishes. Built to last.
We resurface concrete and pebblecrete pools properly — crack repair, substrate prep, bond coating and a long-life finish you can choose from a wide palette. Adelaide's only team doing this exclusively, with rain-proof weather structures and a near-zero defect rate.
Signs your concrete pool needs resurfacing
- Rough or sandpapery surface underfoot
- Visible black spot algae that won't scrub off
- Structural or movement cracks in the shell
- Exposed aggregate where plaster has worn away
- Persistent staining you can't fix chemically
- Pebblecrete looking dull or chalky
- Peeling old epoxy paint layers
Choose the right finish for your pool
We'll bring colour samples to your assessment. See them in natural light before you commit — there's no substitute for holding the sample next to your existing coping and surrounds.
Pebblecrete
Traditional aggregate finish with natural pebbles in cement. Durable, non-slip, huge colour range — Adelaide's most popular concrete pool finish.
Polished quartz
Modern premium finish with crushed quartz. Smoother than pebblecrete, slightly more reflective, excellent durability and easy cleaning.
Coloured plaster
Classic rendered plaster in a range of colours. Cost-effective and suits most pools when you want a smooth, clean look.
Exposed aggregate
Larger pebble or stone aggregate for a distinctive natural look. Great grip, striking visual appeal, premium price point.
Concrete pool, fully resurfaced
Drag each slider to see the real transformation. Same pool, same Adelaide backyard — just a proper Blue Revive concrete resurfacing system in place of a peeling old finish.

A curved stone-edged concrete pool mid-prep with the old surface stripped back. After restoration, the same pool is filled with deep blue water — original stone coping preserved, new surface ready for another 15+ years.

A modern rectangular concrete pool with the old yellow surface peeling away. After a full Blue Revive resurfacing, the same pool has a flawless deep blue finish and looks brand new — all without the dated surround needing to change.
The prep is 80% of the job
You can apply the world's best pebblecrete over a bad substrate and it will fail. That's why our entire pricing model assumes thorough prep — chipping, etching, bond coating, crack injection, everything.
Our 30+ years of surface-prep background comes from commercial painting — multi-storey buildings where a missed prep step could cost a client hundreds of thousands. We brought that same discipline into pools.
Cheap operators skip the prep and blame the paint or the finish when it fails a year later. We don't cut corners, which is why our defect rate is near zero.
Common concrete pool mistakes
- Skipping crack repair — any new finish will crack along the same line within 12 months
- No bond coat — adhesion fails and the new layer delaminates in sheets
- Applying in rain or wind — pebblecrete and plaster don't cure properly, leaving a weak finish
- Wrong chemistry on refill — pebblecrete needs specific start-up chemistry or it stains immediately
Six steps. Every pool. Every time.
Free assessment and quote
We measure, photograph and document every crack, stain and failing area. You get a written quote with clear line items.
Drain and structural inspection
The pool is drained and we check the shell for structural cracks, movement, cold joints and substrate issues.
Crack repair and prep
Structural cracks are injected, stabilised and repaired. Minor crazing is filled. The whole shell gets chipped, etched and cleaned.
Bond coat and prime
A chemical bond coat locks the new surface to the old concrete substrate. Bad adhesion is the biggest single cause of concrete finish failure — we don't cut corners here.
New finish under cover
Our weather structures go up. The new pebblecrete, quartz or plaster finish is trowelled on in controlled conditions with no weather interference.
Acid wash, cure and refill
Aggregate finishes get an acid wash to expose the pebble or quartz. Everything cures under cover before we refill, balance chemistry and hand back.
