Pool Filter ReplacementAdelaide

Sand, cartridge and DE filters — sized properly, installed properly.

Your filter is doing the heavy lifting on water clarity. If yours is old, leaking or undersized, you're fighting cloudy water and burning chemicals. We supply and install filters from every major Australian brand.

Signs your filter needs replacing

  • Water stays cloudy no matter how much you run the pump
  • Visible cracks or leaks in the filter tank
  • Rust on the clamp band or tank seams
  • Pressure climbs quickly after backwash
  • Sand or DE in the pool after running
  • It's simply over 15 years old
Filter types

Choose the right filter for your pool

Sand filter

Bulletproof and cheap to run. Filters down to about 20 microns. Great for larger pools and high-use situations. Backwash-based cleaning.

Cartridge filter

No backwashing, finer filtration (10–15 microns), saves water. The sweet spot for most residential Adelaide pools.

DE filter

The finest filtration — 3–5 microns. Glass-clear water. More maintenance than sand or cartridge, but unbeatable clarity.

Supply and install

Sized for your actual pool

Undersized filters struggle with water clarity. Oversized filters waste money and increase pump workload. We size filters against your actual pool volume, turnover requirements and pump flow rate — not a generic rule of thumb.

Trade pricing on all major brands, professional installation, and one warranty pathway if anything goes wrong.

Frequently Asked Questions

A quality pool filter supplied and installed typically runs $900–$2,500 in Adelaide depending on type and size. Cartridge filters are at the lower end, sand filters mid-range and DE filters at the higher end. We'll size it properly for your pool and flow rate.
Sand filters are bulletproof, cheap to run and great for larger pools but filter down to about 20 microns. Cartridge filters filter finer (10–15 microns), use no backwash water, and suit most residential pools. DE (diatomaceous earth) filters give the finest filtration — around 3–5 microns — and produce the clearest water, but need more maintenance. We'll match the filter type to your pool and water habits.
Sand filters can run 15–20 years before the media or the tank itself fails. Cartridge filters usually need new cartridges every 3–5 years and full replacement every 10–15 years. DE filter grids last 5–8 years. If your filter is cracking, leaking or the tank bands are rusty, it's time.
Yes — almost always. We isolate the filter, swap it out, reconnect and get you running again the same day.
